An Unforgettable Toilet Tale
I'd thought I will try to win a toilet training seat from KittyCat for Bryan, especially since we're beginning to toilet-train him.
Now, I used to enjoy my moments in the toilet. Eventhough I finish my "big business" in less than 3 minutes (I eat lots of fruits and veg mah!), I will take this opportunity to catch up on my reading - newspapers, magazines, books - uninterrupted and peaceful. VT will be taking care of Bryan so I don't have to worry about his where-abouts (both husband and son, ho ho!). So even after I've finished, I will continue to mull on the throne for another 15mins, enjoying my solidatary moments. But since Brandon arrived, this luxury is gone. VT will be taking care of Brandon and only has one other eye on Bryan who is extremely prone to accidents of all sorts. I have to quickly finish my business and rush out.
One morning, I was with Bryan at home alone. And I really had to GO. So I gave Bryan some biscuits and turned on Fun Song Factory to amuse him while I went to relieve myself. Seconds later, I heard Bryan calling out for me and I called back to let him know that I was in the loo. I could see Bryan running towards the toilet where I was finishing up and flushing the john. I tried to stop him from coming in since the floor was wet from being washed earlier. Turned out that he didn't need much persuasion, because the moment he was by the toilet door, he took a good sniff, shuddered and ran away!!!
Looks like indeed Mama had too much roughage!!!

Tag: Fabulous Friday Fives
Slavemom left a message in my chat box that I have some "homework" but I couldn't check to see what it was until today. Lucky me because it's a tag to be done and posted on a Friday, and guess what today is? - Yup, a Friday!

Depending on what the activity is.....if it is a sport, I'd rather watch. Otherwise I'm quite game to join in!
2. Malls, catalog shopping, or the Internet?
All 3! Shopping runs in my blood.
3. A bath or shower?
A hot shower for sure.
4. To talk to people by telephone, in person or by e-mail?
In person. I like to observe the person's expression & reaction....you can tell alot from there. Truth will stare you back in the face.
5. Typing or writing?
Typing lah....now ask me to write, I can't even read my own hand-writing!!

Red, Merah, Ong, Hong
I love this colour as opposed to VT, who thinks that it screams, "Look at me please!!". I suppose I am more of an attention-seeking person that hubs :)
GiddyTigress made me look through my archive of photos to find an "ong ong" photo. So being the vainpot that I am, I'm posting a photo of myself taken when I was about 7-8 years old.

I'd received this pleasant surprise from Chin Nee - thanks! It is so amazing just how much we share within such a short period of time. I just told VT yesterday how much closer I am to a few of my blogging friends (most whom I have not met!) as compared to some of my other friends. All because we share one biggest thing in common : We are PARENTS! What joy that is!

Sharine just told me that I accredited her to the wrong tag. See, I'm old and forgetful liao. This is the tag which I'm supposed to do instead.
1) I'm go-getter. Once I've set my sights on something, I will go and get it. Whether I eventually get it or not, that is something entirely separate lah.
2) I enjoy good food. It doesn't need to be expensive or unusual; a good bowl of Asam Laksa always does the trick!
3) I love sleeping. I will sleep every opportunity I can. That's where motherhood has been such a challenge to me in this aspect.
4) I am a detailed and meticulous person (not to be confused with perfectionist). Other people call this trait anal ha ha.
5) I am God-fearing. I believe that only God has the power to change things in this world.
6) I am a born worrier. I worry about everything.
7) I'm a sucker for nice people. If people are nice to me, I would be 1000 times nicer to them.

No one wants to be the "bad cop" in the family. When I was young, I supposed my mother was "it" as my demands were always met with a "Ask Mummy". My parents have never laid a hand on me but I think my brothers kena whack a few times, but usually for severe disciplinary issues. Now that I'm a parent myself I like to think that I will spare the rod in most circumstances. The most I would do is a slap on the hand or buttocks. Don't think I can bring myself to cane - to think of it, don't think I will even own one.

Requirement: Write about the one age that you wish to go back to and why?
I would like to go back to my uni days in Melbourne because I feel like I studied too hard and enjoyed myself too little. I spent my days, including holidays, mugging. Although I earned good results, I don't think in my opinion that it really mattered at the end of the day since all of us graduated with the same degree. I didn't use the opportunity to travel around and see more things. What a waste!
