I must admit that blogging about Bryan has somewhat taken a bit of a backseat since Brandon's arrival. Afterall, it is more satisfying complaining about a newborn than a well-grounded toddler.
Since Bryan turned 2 last month, his speech development has improved by leaps and bounds. Just overnight, he managed to utter his first two-word : NO MORE. I must have used that a lot with him, especially when he keeps asking for snacks. Then he figured out that he could say other combinations, such as -
- nice shirt! (always said with an exclamation mark)
- change shirt
- wear shoe
- wear socks
- fun song (from Fun Song Factory)
- Mama sit
- Mama take
- Mama hold
- tap head (from a Barney activity book)
I still think he's a little slow compared to his peers in speech. He still struggles with two-syllable words although I know he is trying very hard. Sometimes when he doesn't want to nap, my MIL will force him to at least lie down and rest. What does he do to occupy himself? Talk to himself lor!!

He is not slow ler..at least he can speak 2 words now....
He is good already, don't compare..mine still with 1 word..Later sure he will become a chatter box...
btw, wonder what he talk to himself..so funny.
Well done, Bryan! It's so fun to c them improve overnight, isn't it? Like a switch. Once it's ON, u can't seem to switch it off... talk n talk non-stop. hahaha
He is doing good! Don't rush him or else he will retaliate! Just like what is happening to Darrius now ever since we started speaking Hokkien and Cantonese with him... he will scream and scream in protest!
Dont you worry. He will surprise you with his speech 'explosion' one day, just like Alycia. When that happens, you will want him to shut up, lol!
soon he'll be rambling away...;)
Bryan...Slow??.. Then Sean is terrible inept! LOL =P
No offence intended ok but I found the blog title really funny! I don't mind a 2-word kid either esp as he's got really good sentences there.
You don't seem the worrywart type so I'll hold on to another dose of advice :)
FYI, Lucas was on a 1-word kid from a 3-word vocabulary until he turned 2.3 years ok.
Then, it was 3-words, 4-words etc and now, the 2-word Mummy: "KEEP QUIET!!!"
Starting to talk at 2 year old is not slow edi. Izac also just started after he turned 2 earlier this year, you should just hear him now!
he's definitely not slow. vyktore whom oredi 2+ is still with his single words most of the time :|
